STOCKTON — When the New England Patriots’ new star receiver reflects on his childhood in Stockton, he realizes he would’ve loved to meet and learn from pros like himself.
So Brandin Cooks, a 23-year-old Lincoln High graduate and former collegiate star at Oregon State, returns to his hometown as often as possible.
Cooks was back on the turf of Spanos Stadium on Saturday, leading his ProCamps Worldwide event. The former New Orleans Saints receiver, who was traded to the defending Super Bowl champions in March, paced around the field — sharing the day via the NFL’s Snapchat Story, mingling with campers and throwing passes.
