STOCKTON - With a task of facing the visiting UNLV Runnin’ Rebels, a team that is among the top-five in the nation in three major categories, the Pacific Tigers couldn’t keep pace and dropped their third consecutive nonleague game Saturday night at Spanos Center.
UNLV claimed a double-digit lead by halftime and held on for an 81-76 victory, fending off a late rally by the Tigers in front 2,279 fans. Roberto Gallinat scored 20 points for the Tigers (5-7) before fouling out, while teammate Kendall Small scored all 18 of his points in the second half to pace Pacific.
