STOCKTON — Janet Lucas brings 35 years of experience to her new post as athletic director at University of the Pacific.
And she is anxious to get busy.
The university announced Thursday that Lucas has been chosen to take the helm of the athletic department after a national search. She currently is executive associate director of athletics and senior woman administrator at UC Riverside.
Lucas will replace Ted Leland, who left the school in October 2017. Wes Yourth, Pacific’s associate director of athletics for internal affairs, has served as interim athletic director since Leland’s departure.
She takes over the position on May 7.
