Brooklyn McDavid had never previously won the West Coast Conferenc women’s basketball player of the week award. But there was little doubt she deserved after the week she had.
McDavid, a senior for University of the Pacific, averaged a double-double and had her career high in points as she led the Tigers to a 2-0 record last week in a pair of conference road games.
Pacific (12-5, 5-2 WCC) beat Santa Clara 74-70 and San Francisco 85-75.
She averaged 24.5 points and shot 65 percent from the field in the two wins.
She scored a career-high 28 points by going 12-18 from the field with 11 rebounds against Santa Clara.
