Nearly.
The Tigers got to within three points of the lead as late as the third quarter, but lost 64-48 to Arizona in the second round of the WNIT tournament Sunday at the Wildcats’ McKale Center. Pacific ends its season with a 18-13 record.
Sophomore guard Valerie Higgins had 19 points and 10 rebounds for the Tigers, and Jessica Blakeslee had 13 points and seven rebounds.
Pacific dug itself a considerable hole early in the afternoon, falling behind by a 25-12 margin after the first quarter of play.
