STOCKTON — This was not the result the Pacific women’s basketball team was hoping for in its final home game of the season.
It was Senior Day, but not a good shooting day for the Tigers, who tripped up against Santa Clara and lost 88-83 in front of a crowd of 901 on Saturday afternoon at Spanos Center. The Broncos snapped a five-game losing streak and shot more than 57 percent from the floor in the second half, while Pacific was inconsistent and couldn’t salvage a win despite a desperate rally at the end.
It was the last game at Spanos Center for Pacific guards Ameela Li and Chelsea Lidy, and Li said it was an emotional moment.
