A playoff run last year and a promising squad for the upcoming season has earned the Pacific Tigers respect among their league’s coaches.
Pacific’s women’s basketball team was picked to finish third by West Coast Conference coaches in the WCC preseason poll released on Wednesday. Junior guard Valerie Higgins and junior forward Brooklyn McDavid were selected for the preseason all-conference team.
The announcements were made at the West Coast Conference Tip-Off in Las Vegas. Pacific, which went 19-13 in 2018-19 and advanced to the second round of the Women’s National Invitational Tournament, will begin this season on Nov.
