STOCKTON — On Education Day, in front of the second-most fans in program history, the Pacific women’s basketball team got taken to school.
The Tigers fell behind by as many as 14 and, though they got to within four points of the lead, couldn’t fully recover in a 72-67 loss to visiting Loyola Marymount on Thursday at Spanos Center.
The West Coast Conference clash was seen by 4,373 fans, second only to Pacific’s capacity crowd of 6,150 on Dec. 28, 2010 against No. 1 UConn. In Thursday’s circumstance, many of the fans in attendance were from local schools.
