Pacific women win behind historic triple-double

STOCKTON — Even though moving the ball is a priority for the Pacific women's basketball team, Tylah King was initially confused when Geanna Luaulu-Summers returned a pass.

The junior point guard encouraged King to shoot and was strangely excited when the sophomore made her fifth 3-pointer in a 111-50 nonconference victory over UC Merced on Sunday at Spanos Center, jumping and pumping her fist as she approached King for a hug.

King was happy to learn the assist gave Luaulu-Summers a triple-double. Luaulu-Summers finished with 17 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists, becoming just the second women's player in program history to achieve that.
