Pacific women defeat Santa Clara at home

STOCKTON — Home games are few and far between for the Pacific volleyball team in the first half of the season.

The Tigers rewarded a boisterous home crowd at the A.G. Spanos Center with a 3-0 sweep of Santa Clara on Tuesday, winning 25-18, 25-22, 25-20. It was just their second home game of the season and first time hosting a West Coast Conference opponent this year. Pacific (8-7, 2-1 WCC) has two more games on the road this week.

“It was really nice being at home because we’ve been so travel-heavy,” said sophomore hitter Emily Baptista.
