Pacific Wins League Opener Against Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. – The Pacific women's volleyball team played to five sets for the second-consecutive match and hit .556 in the fifth set to earn a victory in its first league match of the season.

The Tigers improve to 6-6 overall, while Portland falls to 9-4, 0-1 in conference play.

Pacific defeated the Pilots by scores of 25-20, 25-22, 22-25, 17-25, 15-6.

Four players registered double digit kills. Freshman outside hitter Kaitlyn Lines led her squad with a season-best 15 kills. Emily Baptista had 13 kills, Andie Shelton had 11 kills, and Ashlyn Fleming, who also hit a match best .
