STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific Tigers started off their doubleheader right, winning game one on a walk-off sacrifice fly by Ryan Schalch. The RBI came after a leadoff double by Lucas Halstead in the eighth inning of what was originally scheduled to be a seven-inning game. Pacific is now 7-6 on the year.
Will Lydon struck out seven in his seven innings of work today but went away with a no-decision as the game headed to extra innings.
Vince Arobio came on in relief of Lydon and got his first win of the year after mowing through an easy 1-2-3 inning, striking out two and getting an easy groundout on just ten pitches.
