STOCKTON – It was a roller coaster game for Carter Hayes, but the ending was quite a thrill.
After struggling earlier in the game and committing an error, the Pacific third baseman delivered a two-run, walk-off double as the Tigers overcame a five-run deficit to earn a dramatic 6-5 win on Friday against the Seattle Redhawks at Klein Family Field.
It didn’t look good for a while for the red-hot Tigers (8-1), who are off to the best start in program history.
“That was a good time,” Hayes said after he spent a few minutes being jumped on by his joyous teammates.
