STOCKTON — The Pacific Tigers showed exactly how they could beat the Pepperdine Waves in the first set on Thursday night.
Unfortunately for the Tigers, they couldn’t emulate the results throughout the rest of the match.
After stunning the favored Waves in the first game, the Tigers fell 15-25, 25-17, 25-13, 25-17 at Spanos Center. The Tigers, 11-8 overall, dropped under the .500 mark in the West Coast Conference at 3-4.
But the third-place Waves (10-8, 6-1), who have won four in a row, certainly had its troubles with Pacific before taking command of the match.
