STOCKTON – Riley Patterson and the rest of the Pacific Tigers were thrilled they were finally able to make good use of their home-court advantage in a league match.
The Tigers were winless in their first four West Coast Conference volleyball matches this season, but broke the streak by beating San Francisco 26-24, 18-25, 25-21, 25-16 on Thursday at Spanos Center. And just as important, the Tigers (12-9, 4-5 WCC) looked better than they did the first time they saw the Dons (5-15, 1-8).
Pacific managed to survive in five games in San Francisco on Oct. 1.
