STOCKTON – Yes, the Pacific men’s basketball team won its fifth consecutive game Sunday afternoon.
No, head coach Damon Stoudamire was not thrilled about how the Tigers pulled out a 79-73 victory against Cal State Northridge.
The Tigers (10-3) led by as much as 21 points. Justin Moore sank back-to-back 3-pointers to give Pacific a 55-34 lead with 13:42 to play. But a turnover-filled second half and a low sense of urgency contributed to the Matadors making it a close game late. Pacific did not score a field goal in the last five minutes.
“That was an ugly win,” Stoudamire said.
