STOCKTON — When you start fast and finish strong, a few hiccups in the middle probably won’t matter too much.
The Tigers jumped all over Indiana State in the opening minutes, let the Sycamores get close a few times and put them away in the final period as Pacific won 83-66. Valerie Higgins had a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds and Brooklyn McDavid had a game-high 21 points to lead Pacific.
The victory puts the Tigers (4-1) in the title game of the four-team, two day tournament, and they play SMU at 3:30 p.m. today at Spanos Center.
