Pacific softball pitcher Kenya Lindstrom, a senior, was named the West Coast Conference’s Player of the Week on Monday.
Lindstrom earned the honor, along with Saint Mary’s position player Bailey Lotz, following a shutout victory in the Tigers’ season-opener against Buffalo on Friday at the Cal State Fullerton Titan Classic.
The Denver, Colorado native delivered six scoreless innings striking out a pair of batters to help Pacific post its first win of the 2019 season by a final score of 11-0.
Lindstrom went three perfect innings against the Bulls to start out the game before surrendering one a walk in the bottom of the fourth.
