STOCKTON, Calif. - Pacific blitzed Bristol University from the opening tip in Friday's exhibition, scoring the first 43 points en route to a 106-39 demolition of the Bears inside the Alex G. Spanos Center in Damon Stoudamire's unofficial debut as the Tigers head coach.
Pacific opened the game on a 43-0 scoring spurt and shot 60 percent in the first 16 minutes. The Tigers defense suffocated Bristol to 0-13 over the same time period.
David Taylor tallied 19 points in the win on 7-of-14 shooting, including five made treys, to lead five scorers in double figures.
