Two goals from Kriekie van Wyk, two assists from Justine van Lathem and a strong defensive performance led to a win Thursday night for the Pacific women’s field hockey team.
The Tigers scored within the first six minutes of play and didn’t look back, beating Central Michigan 7-0 in Mount Pleasant, Mich.
Lindsie Rogers, Gabriella Fondario, Nthabi Maine, Sophia Lizalde and Tayler Silacci also scored for Pacific (3-2). Marlise van Tonder recorded her second shutout of the season in goal.
The Tigers continue their road trip today with a 4 p.m. contest against No. 7 Michigan.
