STOCKTON, Calif. – Pacific volleyball took sole possession of third place in the West Coast Conference (WCC) standings after defeating Gonzaga, 3-0, on Thursday night at the Alex G. Spanos Center.
The Tigers defeated the Bulldogs by set scores of 25-19, 25-14, and 25-17 to improve to 14-13 overall, 9-7 in the WCC. Gonzaga falls to 13-15, 8-8 in conference play.
Much of Pacific's success on Thursday night can be credited to its strengths behind the serving line, totaling 10 service aces and commiting just four service errors on the night. Emily Baptista and Andie Shelton led the team with thre service aces each.
