STOCKTON - Starting conference play with two victories is certainly gratifying for the Pacific women's basketball team.
That extra pep in the Tigers' steps this week is slightly tempered, of course, by the knowledge that the West Coast Conference schedule has just begun. There's a long way to go, starting with a home game against San Diego at 7 p.m Thursday at Spanos Center.
"Throughout the preseason, we feel like we see improvement on little things here and there," Pacific coach Bradley Davis said. "We didn't get a lot of validation in that in the win column in certain games.
