STOCKTON – After trailing the Toreros for most of the contest, the Pacific softball team rallied with some key hits to spark a four-run sixth inning and held on for a 6-5 West Coast Conference victory and a doubleheader sweep over San Diego in front of 112 fans Saturday afternoon at Bill Simoni Field at UOP.
Pacific won the early tilt 5-2 as sophomore Samantha Owen homered in both games and Tigers pitching had enough mojo against the Toreros to assure the three-game series win.
The squads battle again on the same stage today at noon in the series finale.
