Scouting the Cougars
- SIUE finished 9-21 last season, which included a 5-13 record in the Ohio Valley Conference.
- This season marks the first meeting for these two squads.
- The Cougars are led by Daniel Kinchen as the team's leading returning scorer. He averaged 11.4 points per game, much credited to his Ohio Valley Conference-leading 90.
