STOCKTON – The Pacific men’s soccer team produced its first two-game winning streak with a spirited victory over UC Davis on Thursday night at Knoles Field.
Contact was abundant and emotions ran high throughout the contest, but the Tigers prevailed 2-0 as freshman starter Derick Roque scored in the 38th minute to register his first collegiate goal. A second-half goal by Tariq Branche doubled the advantage and Pacific evened its nonleague record at 3-3.
First-year Pacific coach Adam Reeves was content with the growth of his team, especially on defense, throughout a relatively physical contest that has led to back-to-back shutouts.
