The Pacific men’s soccer team gave it their best shots. Unfortunately for the Tigers, none of them went in.
Pacific fell 1-0 to sixth-seeded Duke in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, ending the Tigers’ season.
Pacific outshot Duke 4-1 in the opening half, with an attempt by Camden Riley at the top-left corner of the goal just missing the mark. Goalkeeper Ethan Bandre made three saves in the match for the Tigers.
Late in the second half, Duke’s Essa Rayyan had the goal that would effectively end the Tigers’ season. Pacific had four shots in the closing 20 minutes, but couldn’t even things up.
