Pacific men’s soccer blanks San Jose State

The Pacific Tigers achieved all the offense they needed in the first half on Sunday against San Jose State.

They scored three times in the first 45 minutes and left it up to goalkeeper Mateo Gomez to preserve the shutout as they beat the Spartans 3-0 in men’s collegiate soccer action in San Jose. Pacific improved to 4-2-1, and San Jose State dropped to 2-4-1.

Camden Riley got the Tigers on the scoreboard with an unassisted goal off of a penalty kick 18:22 into the game. It was his fourth goal of the year.

Jonathan Jimenez put the Tigers up 2-0 off an assist from Anthony Orendain at 34:59 with a cross from the right side of the Spartans’ net.
