After one round of its own home tournament, the Pacific men’s golf team is right where it wants to be - smack dab in the middle of the action.
Led by Jee Horsangchai’s 4-under par 68, the Tigers ended the opening day of the Visit Stockton Pacific Invite with a share of eighth place at The Reserve at Spanos Park. Pacific shot a 1-under 287 as a team, tied with three other teams and eight shots off the lead.
Santa Clara finished the first round as the top team, carding a nine-under 279. Brigham Young was second at a 7-under 281, and Denver shot a six-under 282 for third.
