STOCKTON - Jahlil Tripp’s right hand was tightly taped as he spoke with reporters after his latest star turn Sunday afternoon.
The Pacific men’s basketball team beat visiting UC Riverside 58-51 with Tripp scoring 17 points and pulling down seven rebounds. He shook off the sore hand – just a jammed thumb and bent wrist, he said – backing up his intention that the Tigers’ resilience starts with him.
In that vein, Pacific (4-2) accomplished something Tripp wanted and something head coach Damon Stoudamire wanted at Alex G. Spanos Center this weekend. They stayed tough and won at home.
