STOCKTON – The women’s basketball teams in the West Coast Conference did a fine job of helping each other in the pre-league season.
Now it’s time to play each other.
Nine of the 10 WCC schools had winning records prior to league play, which will certainly help its power rating and possibly recruiting. University of the Pacific begins the 2018-19 conference season when it plays host to St. Mary’s at 5 p.m. today at Spanos Center.
The Tigers (7-3) and Gaels (7-4) are among the nine teams with winning records. Only the San Francisco Dons (5-7, 1-0) have a losing record, but they did beat San Diego 68-57 in their WCC opener on Saturday.
