STOCKTON — Jahlil Tripp’s performance was one of the few highlights on a forgettable night for Pacific men’s basketball.
So when Tripp held the ball with a two-point lead and less than 30 seconds left, it would have been understandable if he made the decision to shoot — no matter what.
Instead, Tripp drove into the lane and kicked it out to Jeremiah Bailey for a 3-pointer as Pacific held on to beat University of Texas-Permian Basin 74-69 Wednesday at Spanos Center.
Pacific coach Damon Stoudamire was displeased with a flat showing against an NCAA Division II opponent.
