STOCKTON – It didn’t show up on the stat sheet, but Tigers junior Jahlil Tripp had a big say on the outcome of the game’s final shot.
Titans senior Brandon Kamga had to shoot a high, desperate falling away three-point shot at the buzzer over the outstretched hand of a leaping Tripp and the ball bounced off the rim as the Tigers escaped with a thrilling 62-59 victory over Cal-State Fullerton in front of 1,534 Wednesday evening at the Spanos Center.
Tripp’s double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds paced the Tigers (8-3) and teammate Gary Chivichyan added 16 points, including three 3′s and junior point guard Justin Moore chipped in 10 points in the win against the Titans (3-6).
