GeAnna Luaulu-Summers led the way as University of the Pacific’s women’s basketball team picked up its first West Coast Conference win of the season.
The Tigers started the game with a 13-2 run and beat San Diego 81-68 on Thursday at Jenny Craig Pavilion in San Diego. Pacific improved to 7-9, 1-4 in the WCC, and the Toreros dropped to 9-7, 2-3.
Luaulu-Summers scored a season-high 22 points on 7 for 11 shooting from the floor, and Pacific shot 29 for 50 in the contest.
The Tigers took control with a couple of big bursts. It had a 6-0 run in the first period, and an 8-0 in the second.
