Pacific Finishes 1-2 at WCC/Big West Challenge

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. – The Tigers' beach volleyball team finished 1-2 at the WCC/Big West Challenge, including a 5-0 sweep of Sacramento State Saturday afternoon.

Pacific is now 4-5 on the season.

The Tigers opened the day with a 5-0 loss to No. 6-ranked Cal Poly. Despite the sweep, three pairs pushed their respective matches to three sets. Katrin Gotterba and Alex Holt split the first two sets with the Mustang's Raeann Greisen and Hannah Hubbard by identical scores of 21-19, before falling 19-17 in the final set. Hanne De Schrijver/Ashlyn Fleming (17-21, 21-19, 6-15) and Skylar Wine/Kaitlyn Lines (15-21, 21-16, 12-15) also pushed their opponents to a third set.
