Pacific baseball (21-22, 8-13 WCC) lost in the series finale to BYU (29-10, 13-5 WCC) today, 5-0 in what turned into a sweep for the Cougars and the sixth straight loss for the Tigers.
Pacific kept the game close with BYU for most of it thanks to a strong start from its ace, junior right-handed pitcher Ryan Shreve, who struck out five and allowed five hits and three earned in the high-quality start. He kept his team in the game into the seventh with a 2-0 scoreline. Senior outfielder Tyler Ryan put together a two-hit game.
