PALO ALTO, Calif. – Katrin Gotterba and Alex Holt had another outstanding performance as the Pacific beach volleyball team's No. 3 pair after defeating Stanford's Kate Formico and Catherine Raquel by setscores of 19-21, 26-24 and 18-16.
The Tigers (6-8) fell to the nationally-ranked Cardinal, 4-1, despite Emily Baptista/Maycie LaBass and Ashlyn Fleming/Taylor Poncetta also taking their respective opponents to three sets. Only two points decided each of the three sets for Baptista/LaBass, after dropping the first set 19-21 they snagged a 26-24 win in set two and then dropped a 16-18 loss in the deciding set.
