PORTLAND, Ore. – The University of the Pacific fell in the final game of the series to Portland, 7-4, on Sunday afternoon but took a 2-1 series victory.
The Tigers fall to 17-25 on the season and 8-13 in conference action, while the Pilots improve to 17-26 overall and 9-12 in conference play.
After trailing 5-0 after the first inning, the Tigers started to creep up on the Pilots with Carter Hayes smoking his second home run in back-to-back games over the left field fence to give the Tigers their first run of the game in the top of the second to trail 5-1.
