Pacific men's tennis picked up wins at No. 1 and No. 2 singles but fell to UC Irvine on Friday, 4-2.
Irvine took straight-set wins in each of the matches they won in singles after starting the day with the doubles point in hand by winning all three matches to see off the Tigers.
"Congratulations to Irvine for the win," head coach Ryan Redondo said. "I thought this was a really poor match from us from the start. We started slowly in doubles and had several opportunities to jump on them, but just didn't sustain our level.
