STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific women's volleyball team was defeated by No. 8 BYU Saturday afternoon at Alex G. Spanos Center.
The Tigers fell by set scores of 19-25, 20-25, and 16-25. The Tigers have fallen to 2-5 in West Coast Conference play, 7-11 overall. The Cougars are now 17-1 overall, 6-0 against WCC teams.
This weekend's opponents were among the toughest for any WCC squad to play with both San Diego and BYU among the nations top 25 teams. Despite nearly pulling out a five-set victory against No. 19 San Diego, the Tigers struggled to obtain the same momentum against a tough BYU block, as they were limited to a .
