SPOKANE, Wash. – The Pacific Tigers fell 4-0 to the Gonzaga Bulldogs in their West Coast Conference opener Friday. Ryan Shreve worked six innings but took the loss in the pitcher's duel as Gonzaga's Eli Morgan hurled a complete game. Pacific is now 8-8 on the year while Gonzaga improves to 8-9.
Shreve worked a career-high six innings and didn't allow a hit until the fourth inning, twice putting together streaks of five or more batters retired in a row. Shreve gave up just four hits, three of which came in the sixth inning, while giving up three runs.
