    Pacific men’s basketball coach Ron Verlin and Dwight Young, an assistant on Verlin’s staff, officially have been dismissed, according to a statement released Thursday.
    Both coaches have been on paid suspension since Dec. 11, when the university announced it had uncovered NCAA Level 1 infractions for academic misconduct.
