STOCKTON — If the chopper off Keaton Glover’s bat had bounced a few inches lower, Pacific baseball’s tremendous inning would have likely been cut short.
But the fates favored Glover and the Tigers.
Glover’s two-run double (which glanced off the top of the glove of leaping UC Davis third baseman Caleb Van Blake) was crucial in an 11-run fourth inning that keyed a 13-8 comeback win over UC Davis Tuesday at Klein Family Field.
“It’s funny how one little thing can turn a game,” Pacific coach Ryan Garko said. “It was a good job of stringing together some at-bats and not giving up.
