The season is a month away, and University of the Pacific’s baseball team is getting ready.
The Tigers opened its practice season on Monday at Pacific’s Klein Family Field. They have 16 new players and 22 returnees.
The season begins Feb. 15 when Pacific plays host to Chicago State at 6 p.m.
Those coming back to head coach Ryan Garko’s squad include junior catcher James Free II, sophomore infielder Alex LeForestier and pitcher Ryan Shreve.
