Pacific alum Verbeek wins first pro title

TEL AVIV-RAMAT GAN, Israel - Pacific alum Sem Verbeek won his first career professional title Dec. 4, pairing with Santa Clara graduate John Lamble to capture the doubles title at the $10K Israel F16 Futures (Hard).

"I am really happy for Sem," Pacific coach Ryan Redondo said. "He is following his dream of becoming the best competitor he can be. Sem is doing well and will continue to improve day in and day out. All of his Tiger family is cheering him on and wishing him the best of luck."

Verbeek, a 2016 Pacific graduate, and Lamble knocked out the top seeds Jonas Luetjen and David Pichler 6-3, 6-3 in the semifinals then a few hours later defeated Bernardo Saraiva and Martin Beran 6-4, 6-4.
