Offense Comes Alive As Tigers Sweep Princeton

STOCKTON, Calif. - Timely hitting and stellar pitching got the Tigers victories in both games of the double header over Princeton Wednesday night, taking the game one 3-2 and the second game 5-2. In the first part of the double header, Marissa Young tossed seven innings with five strikeouts for her first career two-hit complete game. Taylor Covington went 1-for-2 at the plate with a double and a run scored, and Caitlyn Reynolds knocked a clutch pinch-hit RBI double in the sixth inning. Kenya Lindstrom got the start in game two, going five and a third with four strikeouts, while Sydney Lahners, Cassidy Gustafson and Samantha Owen all logged two hits in the contest.
