STOCKTON - By most measurements, Thursday was a good day for baseball. It just wasn’t a good day for Folsom Lake baseball.
The Delta College baseball team tagged visiting Folsom Lake for eight runs in the first inning and didn’t stop there in a merciless 22-2 rout at Nick Cecchetti Baseball Field.
Beau Philip and Jake Cruce hit home runs for Delta (17-2), and both had a pair of RBI on the day. Thomas Greely went 2 for 4 with a double, a triple and four RBI. Trent North, Jack Walsh, Bryon Rosario and Jimmy McClenaghan all drove in two runs apiece as well.
