No. 17 Pacific men's soccer (2-2-0) fell to Marist (1-2-0) at home on Monday night, 1-0.
Marist scored the contest's only goal in the 36th minute. Pacific nearly equalized in the final minutes when the Tigers took a free kick from just outside the left side of the penalty area; a Tiger got on the end of the pass and headed it in, but the goal was whistled offside.
"Obviously, we're disappointed with the result. Marist was very well coached and organized tonight and did a very good job making it challenging for us from an attacking standpoint," head coach Ryan Jorden said.
