GILBERT, Ariz. – The University of the Pacific women's field hockey team had nine student-athletes selected to the 2017 Zag Field Hockey/National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division I National Academic Squad, as released by the NFHCA on Thursday.
The Division I National Academic Squad program recognizes those student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the first semester of the 2017-18 academic year.
received the award for the fourth time.
Burns held a 3.76 GPA through the fall semester in her program of speech-language pathology. The senior played in 19 games this past season and finished second on the team with 14 goals, nine assists, and tallied 37 points.
