STOCKTON, Calif. - Mike Neu resigned as Pacific baseball head coach on Wednesday to accept the head coaching position at California. Neu was hired by Pacific before the 2015-16 school year off the Cal staff, where he served as pitching coach for four seasons.
Neu was rumored to be a lead candidate for the Cal position following Dave Esquer leaving after 18 years at the helm of the Bears to take the opening at his alma mater, Stanford.
"Mike did a really good job of setting a new, positive direction for Pacific baseball and bringing talent into the program," Director of Athletics Ted Leland said.
