Berkeley, Calif. - Anneroos Nederstigt posted a pair of wins Friday at the Cal Nike Invitational to advance to the Gold Division quarterfinals.
Nederstigt downed Nikita Pradeep of UC Davis in the round of 32, 4-6;6-2;6-3, and then turned in a victory over Cal's Alexis Nelson, 6-2;6-0. Nederstigt will face UC Santa Barbara's Jaimee Gilbertson, the flight's three-seed on Saturday in the quarterfinals.
The White division, Sabrina Rodriguez turned in a straight-set win over Emma Critser of Saint Mary's, 6-2;7-5. But Rodriguez withdrew from the quarterfinals due to injury, allowing the three-seed Kate Cusick of BYU to advance.
